European Project Car Ideas
European cars are super popular when it comes to project cars. From BMW’s to Lamborghini’s and everything in between. Instead of taking the traditional route, we’ve included some additional ideas for you to consider for your next project car.

Volvo V70 R
Long since ingored when the newer 6-speed manual version came out. The original Volvo V70 R is having a resurgence in collectibility and intrigue by people who grew up with these modern day classics.

Fiat 500
A timeless classic that is often overlooked when people are considering micro restoration projects. We simply love them and if you are looking for an even more interesting version, the Zastava version of the Fiat 500 has a 750CC engine and was intended for Yugoslavian Domestic Market only, but you can find them on Craigslist from time to time.

Karmann Ghia
Back in the late 90’s these had a resurgence, but many have since been moth-balled. Many of the unrestored copies are still daily drivers due to their simplicity and the unique design will never go out of style. This is a great budget option if you are looking to save on things like engines and suspension.

Land Rover Defender / Series
With the 25-Year Federal restriction now into the 90’s there are a lot of Euro-Defenders available to people in the US. And if you are interested in importing, they can be purchased for a few thousand dollars and shipped to your door for another few thousand. Check them out and drive something really unique.

LS Swapped Volvo!
There are a few brave folks out there with a passion for Volvos and this bloke did a box-truck swap into his 240. Such a great idea that I wish I had thought about it!
